Jason Hackney 10 Year Memorial

Friends and family of Jason, and the Hackney family, will gather soon to remember his spirit and celebrate his continued influence on many of our lives. This year marks ten years since we said goodbye and we would like to do something special in remembrance of him. As many of you know Jason was passionate about the wilderness, and truly loved his time hiking, camping, and paddling in the Boundary Waters with YMCA's camp Menogyn. Jason's camp experiences, and specifically his Hommes trip encountering a polar bear, provided him with strength and grace during his life, and coming to terms with his illness.His memory continues to inspire and lead many of us, and we would like pass some of his spirit on to future campers by donating a canoe dedicated to Jason to camp Menogyn. We would like to surprise Evie and Ricco with the canoe at the BBQ on August 5th, 2017.If you would like to help us with this please consider donating.
