The Gift Of Sound For Natilee

7 years ago changed the world as she knew it... Natilee is a smart, beautiful girl with the potential to accomplish anything she sets her mind to! 7 years ago, Natilee was doing what she loved, riding horses, when she was in a riding accident. Since then, it has effected different aspects of her life, to include her hearing. She has been diagnosed with auditory processing and tinnitus recently. Natilee now needs an FM Transmitter, which essentially cuts out the background noise so she can hear. She will have to wear earbuds while the person speaking wears a small microphone around their neck. This is a crucial component to ensure Natilee has a successful future. Her teachers will have to wear the microphone so that Natilee can hear in class, this carries through to college as well. Not to mention all the beautiful sounds to hear in life that could be missed without this device. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the transmitter and it is a $3,000 bill. The cost includes: the FM Transmitter, ear buds, verification of the system and the fitting. All of this information was given to me by Natilee's mom, who has done everything she can and continues to do what she can, but like they say "it takes a village to raise a child", and a donation here can go a long way!
