Run For Mady
As most of you are aware little 7 year old Mady Obrien is having the battle of her young life.After being diagnosed with a Brain tumour 2 months ago and having under gone surgery, she has just finished her 6 week period of radiation treatment and is looking forward to some much needed fun and family time. Mady wil be under going more treatment in the weeks and months to come.....On October 27 th I am going to haul my oversize carcass around the Great South Run in aid of Mady and the Obriens.....as I am sure most of you can appreciate, these are the toughest times for any child, parent and sibling family members.My aim is simple, having spoken to a few people, many of us feel helpless, living so far away from our friends, and a gesture of love and support in the way of a financial gift, in order to fufill some of Madys dreams during her on going battle and recovery period, would seem to fit the bill.....I am very aware in these austere times that charity and financial donations are not top of our list, but I would be very grateful and humbled, how ever large or small your donation maybe, if you would support the Run for Mady event.Let's make a little difference.
