Please support our team as we prepare for the WCLA DI National Tournament in Round Rock, Texas from May 9th-12th!! We just won our regional tournament and have secured a bid to Nationals! We are extremely excited and can't wait to compete in Texas. Last year we placed fourth at Nationals, and this year we are confident we can become National Champions. We know what it takes to come out on top!!
We are a completely student-led team. All of our girls play for the love of the game and our love for each other. We balance evening practices 3x a week with heavy course loads, part-time jobs, and extensive club involvement.
Aside from the minimal funding we receive from our university, we pay our own way. Between equipment, refs, hotels and other travel costs, tournament fees, and more, our expenses really add up. Throughout the year, we conduct fundraising efforts through team dues, working with youth lacrosse programs, platelet donations, working UNC basketball games, selling merchandise, and hosting a home tournament. However, we need YOUR help to ensure we have the financial resources to bring the DI National title home from Round Rock this Spring.
Between hotels, round-trip flights, and rental cars, our trip to nationals last year cost over $14,300. We are continuing our fundraising efforts harder than ever, but we would greatly appreciate anything you may be able to contribute to help us reach our goal.
