Bebe Is Ready to Get Her Eyes Fixed and Find a Family to Love
BeBe is a sweet girl that needs a helping hand from us humans to help her see and get back into good condition. Bebe is in need of a laser cherry eye removal surgery and valley fever titer and basic bloodwork and x rays. Her bills on average will be at least 1400. up to 2500. if the valley fever is positive. Bebe is in foster care right now to cut down on boarding costs and she is being house trained and provided good food to put weight on her. We are treating for kennel cough right now and as soon as that is under control we will be taking her in for surgery for her eyes and bloodwork. She has a beautiful spirit and loves to play and gets SO excited when it is time to eat. She loves to take very short walks and when she sees a doggy bed she runs to it and wants to curl up and get comfy. Bebe is a happy girl that loves to give and be with her people and all she asks for in return is a belly rub and doggy beds and good food.
Matilda and Holly need your help!
Meet Matilda and Holly. Matilda was picked up by the shelter. Holly was found by a family abandoned at a dog park. We think these girls might be related. Both Matilda and Holly have Entropion (a medical condition in which the eyelid (usually the lower lid) folds inward. It is very uncomfortable, as the eyelashes constantly rub against the cornea and irritate it) Entropion can also create secondary pain of the eye (leading to self trauma, scarring of the eyelid, or nerve damage). Both girls will need eye surgery to correct it. Both girls also have to be spayed, have severe skin irritations, and have bite wounds on their legs. They are on their way to AZ, and money raised
will go directly to these awesome girls to get the help they need so they can be adoptable and find their forever homes!
Aidan's "Drool is Cool" Event
Aidan is turning 9 on September 21, and he decided that for his birthday, he didn't want gifts. He wanted to help more dogs like Logan, who his family adopted from AZ Mastiff Rescue/Canine Rescue Coalition. What 9 year old forgoes gifts? A really terrific, loving, big-hearted 9 year old. We are so honored that Aidan and his family adopted Logan and that they want to help more dogs in rescue.
Logan's life wasn't always so easy. He was confiscated as part of an animal abuse investigation. He was underweight and so timid and afraid. With lots of love, care, and time, Logan blossomed into a wonderful dog, and he melted the hearts of Aidan and his family.
The unfortunate thing is, there are many more dogs, just like Logan, who have endured abuse and/or neglect, that could use a second chance too. And, their only advocates are rescues like this one, and all the volunteers and amazing adopters.
We will feature a few of the dogs that need some extra TLC and vet care with all of you. So check back here or visit us on Facebook to learn more about the dogs that will directly benefit from Aidan's campaign! So, to sum it all up...
Aidan felt the needs of these dogs and this rescue far outweighed the enjoyment he might have receiving gifts for his birthday. So, instead, he wants to encourage his friends and family to give to this worthy cause in honor of his birthday.
Let's honor Aidan's generosity and show him that he is making a difference not just for Logan for for more great dogs in need.
