Family needs apartment

My name is Brendan Schilling and this is my buddy Ja'vion. I had the privilege of meeting this young man about a year ago while I was on a traffic stop and became friends with him and his family.

His mother is one of the hardest working people I know. She is a single mom supporting her children by working for HISD. Due to hurricane Harvey the schools were closed, she couldn't work, and had no income.

They've had a place to stay, but unfortunately those generous people are moving and now the only option has been sleeping in their truck. They have found an apartment, but need help for the deposit. She would never ask people for money. She came to me asking if I knew of any programs or side work so she could afford the payment. If I had the money to pay it for them I would do it in a heart beat (despite them being Dallas cowboys fans)

Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't ask this for just anyone. This is a family that deserves some good luck. If all you can donate is a dollar I know they would be extremely grateful. She is probably not going to be happy I made this, but I am hoping getting them into their apartment and out of their car will make up for it. The money will be given to the family so they can secure a deposit and first months rent at their new apartment and help them get on their feet.
