Addison's Journey

On July 15th 2017 I accompanied my sister to the ER with my 17 month old niece, Addison. She was unstable, could not balance or stand up, and was extremely irritable. Everyone who knows Addison knows that she is the happiest baby. We were informed at the SGHS that Addison had fluid built up in her brain, and had a lesion. She was immediately transferred to Wolfsons Children's Hospital where her tests were further examined. Addison has a brain tumor. She will be undergoing multiple surgeries. On Sunday July 16th 2017 at 3am Addison went back for her first surgery, and got a shunt placed. The following Monday she will be getting the tumor removed, and the course of treatment will go from there after the tumor is examined by the pathologists. Addison and her family have a long road ahead of them, and need all of the prayers and support that they can get to help with the surgeries, extensive hospital stays, and the parents time off of work.
