Mark's Medical Fund

On the evening of May 30th, Mark was dropping almost everyone in the cycling group at Orr Rd.  In the final laps of the evening the few remaining in the main breakaway came around a curve where an 18 wheeler was coming in the opposite direction. While stories about the exact details of the crash change a little depending on who you talk to and as to where they where standing, the end result was not up for debate. Mark went over his handle bars and landed on his head, then the seconary impact went to his back.  After being transported to the hospital, he recieved 10 staples in his head, diagnosed  with 2 fractued ribs and 2 vertebrae.   Thankfully he has maintained full motion in all of his extremities but the road to recovery is far from being over. Mark also does not have health insurance as he just recently opened a triathlon shop in Charlotte, NC.  He doesnt know we have done this, but would like to support this amazing guy in his time of need.
