You Can't Stop The Hopkins!

Our friend and family member Jed Hopkins needs our help! It's time for him to stop asking what he can do for us but to ask ourselves what we can do for him. Jed recently got really sick and the hospital bills have been flowing in at a steady rate. His insurance has covered some really big test that have been done but hasn't covered a lot. Medical bankruptcy is huge and I think it is important we step up and help our friend so this doesn't happen to him. Let's be real.. if it was happening to you he would be the first person to step up and help you.. If you are wondering what happened... here is an idea of it from Jed himself:"Last summer I was diagnosed with a staph infection and through many doctors appointments and different types of antibiotic treatments I was proving to be having allergic reactions to the antibiotics. It was discovered that I had also had been suffering from Mono. While it would be fun to say I picked up Mono from doing "adult" things it was actually stress induced. While waiting to recover from Mono the staph infection invaded deeper into my body entering my bloodstream. This causing issues with my kidneys, liver and my eyesight. Once my eyesight started to go I had to under go many different Invasive tests as I was showing signs of many serious different illness's. After seeing a handful of doctors and undergoing brain scans and multiple lab tests it was finally discovered I was suffering from blood poisoning. I was sent to the ER at Cedar Saini hospital in Los Angeles where I stayed for nearly a week undergoing treatment and blood transfusions. I was very fortunate the disease did not go to my heart but I had a picc line put in my which is a catheter that sends penicillin straight to your heart for the most effective treatment."And if you know Jed.. you know this is a completely modest version of what happened. Truth is we were very close to losing Jed. Uncomfortably close. I, for one am extremely grateful to have him in my life and thankful he had great medical care and continue to be with us. It's time to show your love.. and we appreciate anything you can offer! Thank you in advance and pass it on!
