MOH Haiti Missions Trip

Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you are all doing well as am I. God is good, he has been sending many blessings and lessons my way! You might know that in April, I was supposed to be on a mission trip in the Dominican. God had other plans so that one ended up getting canceled. Although I was upset, I knew he had better plans for me. Recently I found out my church will be taking a trip to Haiti! How exciting! And guess what... I'm going! Thank you to everyone who donated to the Dominican trip, I have all the proceeds and will be using them towards this trip.
First, let me share some facts about Haiti with you. As you probably know, January 12th, 2010, Haiti was hit with a massive earthquake that killed around 300,000 people. Haiti's population as of now ranges around 10,000,000 people. On top of the death, many were injured. In the capital alone (Port-au- Prince) around 8 hospitals collapsed. Haiti was not a rich country to begin with so you can only imagine how devastating this was. There are many more facts, but there is so much I want to share with you! J
October 16th-23rd I will be on a mission's trip in Haiti. I am going with my church, The Chapel at Crosspoint, who is teaming up with Mission of Hope Haiti. The Chapel has done many trips with MOH and I'm so blessed to be one to participate in spreading God's love! We will be staying in Bercy. Bercy is about 1 ½ hours north east from the capital Port-au-Prince on the coast. The Trip focuses mainly on construction though there will be some medical. We will be working in a few different places doing a few different things. In Leveque the goal is to build a church and build and paint homes, and in Bercy, the goal is to build a leadership center and a dormitory building.
Let me share with you what a typical day will look like for us. Breakfast is at 7:00 am, by 8:00 am we will be on a bus to our work sites. Then we will be working our butts of and serving for God till 4:30 pm. We will have diner at 5:30 pm, and the rest of the evening will consist of a daily re-cap, devotion time, worship, etc. Our food will be cereal for breakfast, Pb&j for lunch, and rice and beans for diner! Yummy!!
The cost of the trip will be $1450.00 The money pays for airfare, transportation once were there, food, the project, MOH expenses, and beach day at Wahoo resort. If you would like to donate for this trip I will be going on, thank you, it means so much. Even if you can't, prayers are MUCH needed for the team and I. Thank you in advance to anyone who donates or who prays. I am so blessed to be able to attend this trip, I can't tell you how excited I am to spread God's love!
With Love~ Tomasita Trujillo
