<div>My name is Kristen Meyer and I am writing on behalf of my sister, Allison Meyer, and soon to be brother in law, Eric Richmond.

<div>Eric and Allison plan to be married on May 25th, 2024. Allison is a kindergarten teacher, a mother, a sister, and a friend. Eric is a high school English teacher, an amazing basketball coach, a friend, a fiancé and a soon to be step dad. He also just discovered that he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

<div>On Saturday, April 6th, it all started with what Eric thought was a stomach ache from gas station pizza.  By Tuesday evening, he was admitted to the hospital and underwent surgery. He has been in the hospital since that time, under strict precautions with limited visitors. AML is an aggressive form of leukemia and just 40 days before their wedding, Eric and Allison have been told that he will need an extended stay in the hospital to start aggressive treatment.

<div>Allison and Eric are both 36 years old. They have waited, searched and found their perfect partner - and they have planned and dreamed of their beautiful wedding day. We want to raise funds to support them with their medical bills so that Eric can receive the treatment he needs to  be healthy enough to celebrate and marry his best friend.

<div>Eric and Allison are fiercely competitive - they do not like to lose and this battle with leukemia will be no different. I would bet on them any day. They have a strong village of friends and family to support them emotionally during this journey, but financial support is something that would relieve a large burden and anxiety at this time.

<div>It’s hard to determine a financial goal for this as there are still many unknowns with his course of treatment. Anything you can donate would be incredibly appreciated. If you’re unable to help at this time, please share with your friends and family in hopes to reach a broader audience.
