Getting a Home for Josh Jeansonne
Donation protected
Billy and I have started this fund in order to try to help out a good friend, Josh Jeansonne. Josh was born blind and has struggled throughout most of his life. While his mother was alive things were never nearly as bad as they are now. When she passed away in 2007, she left him her trailer that was already not in the best shape. Over the years it has continued to deteriorate and with Hurricane Ike and this years major hail storm it has begun to fall apart everywhere. His ceiling is caving in in several places, its covered in mold and he's spending most of the day dumping pots and pan filled up with rain water. No one should ever have to live in the kind of conditions that he is being subjected to every day. Josh applied for FEMA assistance for both Hurricane Ike and the Hail storm and was denied on every one. He is on a very limited income with only a small disability check each month. I know that if I was ever in that kind of condition I would have family step in and take care of me, but everyone does not have family willing or able to step up and lend a hand. Any donation will be held in this fund until we can find a healthy and safe place for Josh to stay. No amount is too small in order to help him out. I know there are constantly people everywhere asking for donations to different things, but this is one cause worth fighting for. Josh is a great man that was dealt a bad hand, he's done the best with what he has. At times everyone needs a hand in life and right now Josh is at that point in his life.
