Jasmine's Collarbone Surgery

Hello friends! My name is Anya Gladun, I am a tattooer. I have started this campaign together with my friend Kirsten Holliday, who is also a tattooer, to raise money for our other tattooer friend, Jasmine Wright. Jasmine is an incredibly talented, driven and versatile artist based in San Diego, she does truly amazing tattoos and has been featured in numerous tattoo-focused articles and blogs. She is passionate, kind and open. Honestly, she is one of my favorite people I know. Unfortunately, she very recently broke her collarbone in a motorcycle accident, and, like so many other people in this country, didn't have health insurance, so now she is facing some serious hospital bills and a surgery. Because the damage is so severe, she currently can't tattoo. For us independent contractors that means no income for an undetermined period of time, and as you imagine it is pretty stressful. Jasmine was reluctant to start her own campaign since she is a very stoic, proud and independent person, but if any of you have ever dealt with health issues while not covered by an insurance policy, you know very few people can afford to pay off medical bills by themselves no matter how much they work, let alone when they can't even do their job altogether because their health won't allow it. No one is accident proof and sometimes we all need a little help to get back up. As tattooers, we feel it's very important for our community to come together to support our own during tough times, so we are kindly asking you to consider donating to this campaign to get jasmine back on her feet and into the tattooing chair so she can keep creating her amazing tattoos.
