Matt Pulls for Love, Hope and Comfort

Okay, so I am not running the Boston Marathon, but I am going to pull a FedEx 727 Jet... As crazy as it may sound, I along with 24 other dedicated people will be pulling a Boeing 727 jet at TF Green Airport on October 5th. You may ask yourself why I am doing this. The answer is simple. My wife and I are fortunate enough to be involved with Binkeez for Comfort and the Jet Pull has become their signature fund raising event for 2013. Binkeez for Comfort is a non-profit group that provides handmade custom blankets to children and adults who are sick or going through a tough time in their lives. As a non-profit, they depend on the generosity of others to help support the work they do day in and day out. That's where you can help.
I rarely ask anyone to help support various causes because I know it's a personal choice that people make and there are many to choose from. Because my wife is directly involved with this group, I can personally see the effort their volunteers put in, the resources they need, and most important, the positive impacts that have on so many children and families alike. It's amazing how a simple, comfortable blanket can make such a huge difference in a family's life, often at a time when all seems to be lost and hope seems like a distant memory. Your donation of any amount to support me and Team Binkeez will go a long way to keep this message of comfort, hope and love paying forward.

Comprised entirely of volunteers who donate their time and talent, Binkeez for Comfort gifts forward made by hand and love blankets to children, adults and elderly who are impatient in a hospital, nursing home or hospice, at no cost to these recipients. These blankets are designed by child life specialists, medical doctors, elder care specialists and those that have tended to sick loved ones. They are also designed by age group and sizes and the certified and high end fabrics are based on the comfort needs of each age group.
Binkeez for Comfort is so much more than just a blanket.
It's about providing everlasting moments of comfort.
It's about endless hugs.
It's about an unconditional extension of love from one heart to another.
It's about hundreds yards of fabrics for hundreds of hearts.
Many of the local Binkeez families will be taking part and pulling along side of us. It is our Binkeez recipients that inspire our actions. One of those families is Katie and Dan Strand - mom and dad to Gaving. They are epitome of Binkeez for Comfort symbolizes. From Gavin's parents: "Gavin's Binkeez blanket is so much more than a blanket. It is his comfort at night and when he isnt feeling well. It is his super hero cape. It is hope and it is love."
As a member of TEAM Binkeez, I am humbled and honored to raise money for the MS Society and the families that this incredible organization supports.
