Tribute To Joel Davis

We lost one of our own and I know many of us would like to help in some sort of way. Although I was not in his session, I didn't have to look far to my left to see him. Our thoughts are with all of you who grew to know him personally.
This started as a way for the 199 class to raise funds to set up a memorial in Joel's memory. We truly thank you all for your generosity.
Don't forget to take care of each other during this time. Any money raised will be used towards a memorial of the family's choice, a bench or I am open to any other suggestion that anyone agrees upon. Thank you. Also please feel free to share stories on our group page and pass this along to other members.

Myself and Jeff Duck have been working hard to get things in place with these funds. Jeff and I were both classmates of the 199th Academy class. I'm currently stationed out of SP Dundee.
With the permission of Joel's brother Josh, we are using part of the donations for bracelets that will be sold in his honor. That money raised will be put into a fund that his parents have set up for his children. The remaining money will be used for a plaque for the Joel Davis Memorial Field and towards their new fence.
Jeff has worked diligently with a local bank to set up a separate account for these funds. He has also worked closely with the Trooper Foundation in regards to the bracelets.
