Hi,My name is Charita Tookes. I am a mother of five and a self-employed hairstylist so I don't have vacation time or sick pay. On July 2nd, while bathing my grandson I experienced the worst headache of my life. I began vomiting uncontrollably and the back of my neck started hurting really bad, I felt as if my head was going to explode. My husband rushed me to the emergency room where I was diagnosed with a rare stroke called subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain). So far, I have been in ICU for a week and the doctor said I will be unable to work for 3 additional weeks after I am released from the hospital. I know things are tight for everyone but I could really use financial help you can provide. The funds will be used to pay for my living expenses and medical bills until I can start working again.
