Save Our Home

I am a single mom with twin daughters and I live in an apartment in my family’s duplex with my Mother, Step-father and my girls. When my mom lost her job a couple of months after I had my twins, it was up to me to help with the bills. I was only being paid $9.50 an hour at that time and had my own bills, plus diapers, formula and daycare so paying any additional bills proved to be very difficult. Here we are 4 years later, my mom having had 3 different surgeries and not being able to work for 2 years. It is very hard supporting a big household on a $1,200 monthly paycheck (before taxes). Needless to say, we have been behind in paying our everyday bills and have not been able to pay for the taxes on our house. We have tried to catch up but we never seem to get there. At a few times throughout the last 4 years, I have even had to work 3 jobs at one point and it still wasn't enough. Needless to say, our home is now in foreclosure. We have until the 26th of this month to pay over $20k before they take our house and we are forced to leave. This is the only home my girls have ever known. My girl’s father wants nothing to do with them and has never paid a dime to help support them. As their soul provider, I want them to feel as safe and secure as possible and uprooting them from the only home that they have ever known will surely be damaging. We are asking for any help that we can get and are praying that we can keep our home for the stability and sense of family that my girls need so much.
