Fresno A's World Series Bound

The Fresno A's College Summer Team is headed to the National Baseball Congress World Series in Wichita, Kansas July 21! It is the oldest and longest running summer collegiate tournament. It is also loaded with major league players including Chipper Jones and Joe Nathan this year! The A's just won the Western Qualifier in San Diego, CA to win the bid to the biggest and best summer college tournament around and need to raise funds for travel expenses. All A's players are being hosted in Fresno and have already incurred heavy travel expenses with their schedule sending them to Humboldt, Las Vegas, Reno, San Francisco, San Diego, Redding and Sacramento. They need help with last minute airfare, hotel accommodations and food to go to the World Series at Wichita, KS. Fresno A's is a non-profit organization team playing through Bullard Cal Ripken's Babe Ruth program, and players have been working hard to raise funds for their summer program with serving Concessions at the Fresno Grizzlies AAA baseball games and umpiring with local Fresno youth baseball tournaments and Babe Ruth groups. Many Fresno A's college players are from out of town, out of state and even out of country and experiencing California for the first time! For some of them this is their last year of their college career and so thrilled to have this amazing opportunity to attend the NBC World Series!
