Help for Legal Fees- Justice for Jamal

Police Brutality is the topic at hand and Black Lives Matter is what we are trying to get people to understand. We must help each as we help ourselves. Last week as the country was learning of the death of George Floyd my brother was arrested during a traffic stop in Petersburg, Virginia for allegedly failing to stop at a traffic light and not having his headlights on. Unfortunately for my brother, It was a case of mistaken identity and he didn’t have his driver’s licenses with him.  Once arrested, he was charged as the other individual, who had several pending cases and a police record.  He was held for 7 days. We are fighting against this travesty of justice. He is a student at Virginia State University with a 3.0 Grade Point Average, basketball player, and father to a 5yr old. This was his first encounter EVER with the criminal justice system. Fighting this travesty is going to be expense.  We need to raise $10,000 to retain a lawyer so that he is not forced to take an unjust plea.  Any amount that you can donate will truly be appreciated. My family has already used a great deal of funds on legal fees and bond to get him here, but it will take more money to see this through. I am asking for your help, please share with your family and friends. Let’s not just say Black Lives Matter lets make sure that my brother knows his life matters. Thank you in advance.
