Touch Africa

Donation protected
Touch Africa is a project to help reduce violence and bullying in Townships of South Africa.
In 2017, we have been doing two humanitarian projects in a school with 350 children with special needs (Down Syndrome, Autism, reduced mobility, mental challenges, etc.)  in Guguletu, a township of the region of Cape Town in South Africa.

Guguletu, South Africa

We implemented a programme called the MISP (Massage in Schools Programme)
www.massageinschools.com  that consist of simple massage that the children learn to give one an other over clothes. It has been so successfull, the school director, the school occupational therapist and the school nurse, as well as the teachers were really impressed with the results.

We now want to go back and train several teachers from various townships in South Africa, so they can become autonomous with the project,  and all children can benefit.
We have also met with two doctors researchers who are willing to do an official research.  We need funds for the University based research.
Hopefully we will be able to reproduce the project for the whole of South Africa and Africa.
These children are from families where nurturing touch is often lacking, resulting in unproper social behaviour. The MISP teaches children to be loving and respectful towards one another.
We hope eventually to also do the project crisscrossing cultures of South Africa, a necessity in the particular culture of South Africa.

Please help us make the dream come true for more peace in that region of the world.

Thank you !
