Hello everyone,

My name is Beatriz Nash. My husband and I started this GoFundMe because I would like some help to raise money to pay for some treatments to improve my quality of life, and hopefully put my cancer into remission.

In April 2017 I was diagnosed with cancer and had a full hysterectomy, which was successful in May 2017.  The pathology reports showed that the cancer did not metastasize, so I had high hopes that I was cancer free.  A year later in May 2018, a follow-up scan showed once again that I had a plum-sized tumor. We started chemotherapy with hopes to shrink it and then kill it after that with radiation. We also did a PET scan at that time which revealed cancer was only in that one location.

I went through a total of six rounds of chemotherapy (Paclitaxel & CarboTaxol). I had lots of bone pain, fatigue, nausea, and lost all my hair from the chemo, the effects were worsening after each time. After three rounds, we had a scan to see if the tumor reduced in size and it looked smaller by half the size, so we all thought the chemo was working. After the sixth round, I was so sick from side effects that sometimes I thought I would rather die. I was scanned again and found that the tumor actually grew, so the only option was to attempt a risky surgery.

Jan 9, 2019. I had a successful tumor removal surgery which included a section of my intestines and part of my bladder, which required me to wear a catheter. I was in the hospital for a week. After a few days of having the catheter in, a cystogram was ordered to see if my bladder had healed.  During the cystogram, the doctor overfilled my bladder and that ruptured the sutures.  Miraculously, I did not need immediate surgery, but I had to keep the catheter for a month.  All the while, I waited for results from Foundation One genomic testing to see if there was any known treatment for the sequencing of my cancer genes.  Just over a month later, Foundation One results came back indicating there was no known treatment for my cancer, which is not all that rare, but what is rare is my six rounds of chemotherapy did not kill even one cancer cell.  I was told by my doctor that if my cancer came back, which it probably would, I would probably not survive it, as it is a very aggressive mutation.

After some time, my bladder healed. Then I started having pain in my lower abdomen. I had a swollen lymph node.  We immediately had a biopsy, and the tissue was rushed to pathology.  The doctor said he was pretty sure it would show that it was cancer, but two days later the results showed no cancer, only infection.  So I took antibiotics, and after seven days, my pain was only increasing, so a CT scan was ordered.  The next day I went to my doctor to discuss the imaging results. The scan showed my cancer has basically exploded and there is a big mass in my liver that is about a third of it. As well it showed several tiny dots of cancer in my lungs.  My doctor does not pull any punches and explained this was not good at all, and that I only have months to live.  I pressed him and asked, "How many months?" and he said, "Three months".

My husband and I have decided to fight this cancer with everything we can find.  I have had another round of chemotherapy with a different chemo drug, Doxil.  I am also taking many supplements.  Also some dear friends of ours referred us to a Naturopathic doctor that they have been having success with. However, they do not take insurance (which we already have a payment plan for our medical bills) and they are a very high cost. Our savings have been severely depleted, so I am requesting your help to raise money to help us pay for these treatments and supplements.

The treatment is a total: $13,922.00. If we could get help with any portion of it, we will be so grateful and eternally in your debt.

Anything will help, and even more than monetary, your prayers and fasting will help the most.

I know God has the last say in this. I am willing to do whatever my Heavenly Father wants, and if he wants to call me home now, I accept it.  Of course I would like to stay longer to give, love, share, and serve, and spend quality time with family and friends, but I know we all will pass from this mortal life, and I know my Savior Jesus Christ came to earth, suffered and died, so that I may live again. I know we will see each other again because of Him, who died for us and lived again, so we can do so, as well.

In advance, we thank you so very much for your kindness and love.

May God bless you and I, today and always!
