Louis "Corky" Cancer Fund

Hello family , friends,& Fellow Co-Hearts, I come to ask for prayers, kind words or any donations that you could help with. My dad Louis was a fellow SWA Co-Heart for 29 years in Houston as a ramp agent. Everyone knew him as "Corky":) He lived and breathed SWA-I remember the days when he would always take me to "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". & as you can see, I followed in his footsteps and joined the SWA Family. :) On June 23, 2017, My dad was rushed into the Methodist SugarLand ER for severe pain in his right arm. X-rays , labs and tests were completed and nothing could have prepared us for the results. The doctor diagnosed my daddy with stage 4 kidney cancer which has spread to his right arm. We were devastated to hear this news.
Here’s the most recent update on my dads progress on his battle with stage 4 kidney cancer.
He is currently going to the doctor 4 times a week. They have started to give him chemotherapy injections. At first, the nurses had him on an IV with hydration fluids and anti nausea medicines before the chemo injection was given, and luckily he has had no side effects!!! The doctor and nurses are amazed with his progress everyday! They have stopped giving him the additional medicines since there are no side effects and he is taking in the chemotherapy very very well! My dad is a fighter! & he will not give up! He’s still as funny and goofy as could be!♥️
My family and I can not express our gratitude for all of your continued thoughts and prayers and donations for him! We recently had a BBQ benefit for him and the turn out was unbelievable. It was great for dad to see some familiar faces from his childhood and Co-Workers from SWA❤️
