Hi everyone,

For those close to me know what happened to myself and 5 children in the year of 2023. Those of you who don’t; we lost our safe haven.

I cannot express the trauma and distress this caused us and being panicked as to where we would rest our heads after June 28th, 2023.

After 1.5 years of applying for housing all over the GTA, Peele and even Durham region, we couldn’t secure a home. I faced rejection and even discrimination due to how many children I had.

I then decided to look outside of familiarity and took a leap of faith to look for housing in Alberta where not only it was affordable but accommodated what my children and I need.

On January 20th, 2025 we received the greatest news, we secured a home!

We are to leave Feb 27th to arrive on March 1st.

Moving across the province is not only a long commute but comes at a cost.

I recently resigned from my employer due to being mistreated and it impacting my mental and emotional well being. My last working day would have been Feb 24 2025.

All funds donated will go to the following:

-cost in fuel from Toronto to Edmonton as I am driving ( 1 day and 10 hours

-hotel/air bnb & food (we are stopping 3 times)

-pay for the cargo with all of our things

-groceries when we arrive

-new beds and dressers for the children and myself (we had to leave these items behind)

We are generously asking for any kind of help that you can offer us as we make this big move.
