Support Myla's Brain Tumor Surgery

Donation protected
Mirela Dizdarevic and Mark Mahand's 2 year old daughter Myla, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. It began when she had a seizure on Monday afternoon. The Fire Department and EMT got to us very quickly and it was clear she needed immediate medical attention. In the ambulance, Myla's seizure becomes more serious with the right side of her body convulsing. When we arrived at Children's Hospital, they were waiting for us and immediately took her back for tests. The seizure had stopped. It lasted a little over 30 minutes. After numerous MRIs, CT scans, and other brain related tests, the neurologist informed us she has a brain tumor on the top left side of her brain. The only option is to operate.
It will be an 8 hour procedure, 6 hours of surgery and 2 hours for an open brain MRI with contrast.
Myla will then need between two and six weeks of right side rehab. The neurosurgeon is fairly confident Myla will make a full recovery, with time. Removing the tumor should stop the seizures.
Myla was previously unqualified for insurance, however due to these recent events it appears she may be covered for 30 days. Myla will remain in the hospital until A date is set for the operation, hopefully in the next two weeks.
In order for Myla to receive the best medical attention possible, Mark and Mirela will still be responsible for the surgery costs, medication, follow ups, therapy and more. Neither parent is able to work during this time, as Myla needs 24/7 supervision and a parent present at all times for medical decisions. Please help our sweet Myla and her parents with this difficult time. Anything
you can contribute will be put towards the surgery itself, and other daily expenses such as hospital parking fees, food, bills, rent, prescriptions, etc. We all very grateful for your help. The goal is $125,000. Please pray and support, and feel free to share this post
