Firefighters and Friends for Police

Every fall I try and do one big thing for charity, along with our other events. I try my hardest to just follow what I feel in my heart. I spend some time alone trying to decide how I can make any kind of difference in my community, or even country.
This year I didn't have to think as long as others. It's easy to know what I need to do. After seeing police officers killed, and attacked like I have, I have to let them know how much they are appreciated. The ones that I know, and work with are the most decent, and respectful human beings I know. Black ones, white ones, hispanic ones. There is no talk of people's color in our business. Only how we can help people. I don't see the hate in person that others claim to see in police officers.
So starting October 17th; Myself, along with anyone else who wishes to join me, will be starting out on the Minnesota/Canada border and heading south all the way to the Iowa border. Our goal is to stop at as many police stations as possible to thank them for what they do. With any donation, you can request that we stop at a specific station, and we will present an award in your name.
Why would I ask for donations for this? The easiest answer is that I can't afford to pull it off on my own. The more important one is that the message of support needs to come from more people than just myself. If you don't agree with my opinion or can't afford anything, then of course you shouldn't donate. If you would like to receive a product in return for your donation, please consider purchasing a firefighter calendar at www.firefighterspecialteams.org. That money will go to support the recognition of law enforcement this year. (These are pre-sales right now. Calendar is still being finalized).
