Make Guatemala Smile

Dear family and friends, I will be graduating from Blinn College with my Dental Hygiene Degree in May of 2014. I am very excited to start my career and be doing something that I love. I am blessed to have the opportunity to begin my journey as a dental hygienist in Central America! I will be traveling to Guatemala to use my new God given skills and talents to help change the lives of the indigenous Mayan children with a team of 12-18 people including dentists, dental hygienists and other volunteers.


I will be leaving Texas on May 30th and will be flying to Antigua. From Antigua we will be driving to a nearby village and working in a clinic for six days. We will be providing dental care to the children including cleanings, sealants, restorations, extractions and more. In many cases this is the first cleaning these children will receive. The clinic will operate between eight and nine hours a day and will serve 500-1000 children. I will return to the states on June 8th.


The cost of this trip is $3000, this includes travel, meals, housing and clinic supplies . I would be so grateful if you could help me fund this mission trip! I can't do it without you!


This Mission trip is through Global Dental Relief. They have served and cared for over 75,000 children through these projects. I am so excited to join this organization in their mission to serve children in need.
