42.2KM FOR TABOO!
On August 11, 2019, I am running my first full marathon as an ambassador for Taboo Sanitary Products at the Barossa Marathon Festival!
Taboo is a social enterprise (co-founded by Isobel Marshall and Elouise Hall) whose mission is to sell and distribute their own brand of sanitary products (organic pads and tampons) around Australia, with generated profits used to ensure that all women have access to sanitary care and education on a global scale!
It's surreal to think that in developing parts of the world, approximately 30% of girls drop out of school when they hit puberty and a shocking 70% of all reproductive diseases in India being caused by poor menstrual hygiene. The work of Taboo is focused on combatting the "taboo" around menstruation (hence the name) in order to reduce these statistics.
I would love and appreciate YOUR support (big or small) as I accomplish a personal life goal, fundraising for a cause that I am super passionate about!
