Photographer Needs New "Key Lights"

Let's face it...breast cancer SUCKS. The only thing worse than breast cancer is paying for it. We have a tough fight ahead. I am confident in the surgeon we've chosen to remove the cancer ( he's the chief of surgical oncology ) and I'm confident in the team he has chosen to make me feel whole again. However, the team he's selected for the reconstruction portion of the surgery does not accept my insurance. Unfortunately, this is a $60,000 surgery. This doesn't even count the possible out of pocket for chemo or radiation and the slew of medications that will ultimately follow. We don't have specifics on complete out of pocket costs, this is just step one. We are looking into alternatives, but this is the best possible choice. We could do the double mastectomy and reconstruction all in one surgery, which is ideal. The recovery is a little longer for this type of surgery, but it's better than three surgeries and the complications that could arise from that.
However, I will not be able to work for a while, either way. The missed work and missed opportunities to consult for weddings in the future are definitely going to make it difficult to keep my business afloat. I'm doing everything I can to work as much as possible until the surgery date ( I will update you when that date is made ) so, if you know anyone that needs me, please forward them my way!

Those of you who know me are well aware of how much I hate asking for help, but I have no choice. I NEED you. My studio needs you. I can't even bare to think I could lose my passion from this disease.Any amount you can part with gets me one step closer to ending this battle. If you can't afford to give, send me a prayer and please share this as much as possible. This sucks. I'm 41 and I have an amazing husband and beautiful and sweet 10 year old daughter who need me. This financial burden is too much.
