A new family based foundation, on a journey to seek help & suport from the community near & far to raise money that will go towards saving our son, our brother from homelessness. All monies raised will go to putting a roof not only over his head but for his homeless partner as well. Proceeds will help with accomodation costs, furniture, appliances & living expenses. This is the story of Aaron & his courageous life! His name is Aaron Anderson. He is 43 years of age & is currently sleeping & living in the streets of Auckland, New Zealand. Aaron was born in New Zealand then moved to Australia at a young age. A few years after moving to Australia he suffered a great loss in the passing of his younger brother to a car accident. When that happened he begun to deal with a traumatic upbringing. Always being physically abused by his alcoholic father who wasn't the greatest father figure towards him. The fear of waiting for his dad coming home drunk & beating you up isn't a life for anybody.Coming from a poor family, his father being an alcoholic & gambler. His mother working 2 jobs to provide for 8 children including Aaron it all led him to stealing, battling with a drug addiction & heading in & out of prison most of his teenage & adult life. Having lost so much of his life to four walls is the reason why Aaron is unstable & today suffers from Post Traumatic Stress. Aaron struggles to be part of or fit into a community. Adapting to what's called our "NORMAL" life is out of the ordinary & not a comfort zone for him.Bringing Aaron to today, he was deported back to New Zealand in 2010. Not allowed entry back to Australia ever. He commit too many offences which had him placed in an Immigration Centre waiting to be sent to New Zealand. Immigration of Australia sent him back with only a bag of clothing & weeks accomodation. There was zero emergency support or housing & welfare options there for him. Our mother lost contact with all her family the day she started her new life in Australia, so Aaron going there was like a rat in cage. Unknown to his surroundings, you know NOBODY at all & you don't know where to begin or start life. To that he continues to do what he only knows & is stealing to put food in his mouth & living on the streets. Employment & wages are low in New Zealand. Being in jail majority of his life he has no qualifications for good paying work there.Just last week our mum flew to New Zealand for a funeral. Having no contact with Aaron she walked the streets of Auckland in hope to reunite with him. With God beside her & always with Aaron, she had a gut instinct telling her to stop in front of a particular shop. She was drawn to this shop! Not knowing why she stood there, looking around for her son. Still nothing happened & Aaron didn't pop up. She decided to have a look into the store & see if she would have any luck that way. She noticed a roughed up looking man back faced to her. Standing & observing him, he turned around & to her amazement it was her son, Aaron. The amount of emotion when eyes were locked it was the work of God bringing them together once again without them both having no communication with one another. Our mother had accomodation while staying there but she was so brave & asked to spend the night on the street with her son. The perspective & outlook she gained & appreciated for not only life but for her son is incomprehensible. She states that you'll never know until you are in the shoes of a homeless or are victim of it. It was a disgustingly cold, unsafe, scary & uncomfortable night for her. A night she will never forget. Her return home since has been unbearable.Today Aaron suffers not only the loss of his little brother but it's also the massive loss of having his mum in Australia with the rest of his siblings so the distance between our family plays a major mental & emotional effect on him.Yes, we are a big family already & can support our son & brother at this time of need. We can do it alone but it's not achievable in a few weeks to get him somewhere warm & safe as soon as possible. You can judge Aaron or disagree to what could have been or already is but all the above has made Aaron the most loving, caring, kindest, nurturing & selfless person he is. Beneath the big beautiful smile & scars he carries lays all the suffering & pain he has lived with all his life. Nobody deserves to live a life like he is living. To see someone you love & care for in that position tears your heart apart. You wouldn't wish it be upon anyone you love. The great effort that will be donated towards Aaron will be an awesome head start to get him standing independently on his own two feet to finally begin a life that we are all blessed to live. We all deserve a second chance in life & no doubt this will be his. Please rally up behind Aaron & let this be the beginning to helping someone who is homeless. Whether big or small any donation counts. The Anderson family gratefully appreciates your generosity, kindness & support!God Bless x
