Every Moment

22 years young, 6 months with cancer, 4 chemo sessions and no end in sight. Lost all his weight and hair. Lost his mother at a young age so she can't be here to care. He smiles to lift the people around him But inside it's mayhem. Unless days laying on white sheets So lost his job and can't make ends meet. Broke and broken with no courage to ask for help Because it would not be thought of as a man to do that. So he keeps silent. But poetry he loves, they accompany him on those white sheets as he dreams of when he can get back to work and make ends meet. As you read this poem that I am trying hard to rhyme... because that's what he likes, I am asking for him. Please help give what you can. Give him a chance to do things because he can't. He's counting every moment to get better. Please help him enjoy good moments while under this horrible disease. Thank you, Xai
