40 Turning 40 with purpose

Dear Family and friends,

We are a group of women who are stepping into our milestone birthday together with gratitude and purpose and we are seeking your support.

We are 40 turning 40 ( actually we are  44, long story :) .....and we are multi faith, multi tribal and multidisciplinary and all we have in common is love and purpose...in addition to stepping into planet earth around the same period of time.

Our ultimate gift as we celebrate is to embark on a truly selfless project that genuinely impacts on the lives of our recipient population, the Internally displaced Persons ( IDPs)  of Borno state in N.E. Nigeria. We have chosen to fund an education and empowerment project towards the lives of young females ages 14-20 years.... We have goals to :

1. Provide formal education  with vocational training scholarship for chosen candidates for their entire secondary school education.


2. Mentorship and support for scholarship recipients.

We have currently recruited girls and they’ve resumed school already ( yay!) and I  ( Rukayat Salami) will be overseeing the management of this project and funds alongside other celebrants who will be offering their various  professional expertise and mentorship as we go along.

We can only achieve so much through our personal commitments and so we are extending our birthday gift request to you in order to be able to walk our talk successfully.
