For my widowed father Fred Thomas

As many of you know, my mother Joy Thomas received a shocking diagnosis of terminal, incurable Stage IV colorectal cancer in June 2017. Since then, she's had dozens of chemotherapy treatments, multiple surgeries and several radiation treatments. To say it's been difficult for her physically, emotionally and financially would be a gross understatement. It hasn't been a walk in the park for the people who love her either. Especially her faithful husband, my father who has been true to his vows "in sickness and in health".

What you may not know is December 22nd this year will be my parents 40th wedding anniversary. My parents never had a wedding. They didn't have the money. My mother has mentioned a desire to have a vow renewal through the years and it's something I've always wanted to do for them. However, the time to do it is now or never.

Please help me to give my parents a beautiful vow renewal this year. The wedding they never had so we can all celebrate their devotion to each other and the unique beauty of true love.

Unfortunately, the financial strain this horrible monster of an illness has put on all of us means we simply are financially drained. Between hospital bills, flights back and forth from San Diego, hotels and rental cars. I can not afford to give them the vow renewal my mother dreams of and my parents deserve. My siblings have also reached the end of their financial ability to do this alone. My mother is an only child and my father's family is unable to help at this time.

I would appreciate any donation. Every little bit helps. The venue my mother dreams of is $550 and we need additional funds for food, wedding cake and decorations. I'm very crafty and can design and make much of the decor myself, but the supplies still cost money.
