Help save my precious daughter, Kerri

My 44 year old daughter, Kerri, lives in Colorado with her husband, Chris, and my two beautiful grandchildren, Jack and Cate. Kerri was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008,
which has metastasized to her bones and liver. In the past five years, she's undergone three breast surgeries, two
surgeries to remove tumors from her sacrum, four separate rounds of radiation
treatments and two rounds of chemotherapy. This past year, she endured a right hip replacement due to tumors followed by an extremely intense round of chemotherapy to try to shrink
the tumors on her liver. Unfortunately,
scans show continued disease progression.
Kerri's medical team acknowledges that they've exhausted all mainstream treatment options. Alternative technologies are available but current medical insurance plans only cover conventional treatments. One of the most promising alternative treatments, the Issels Integrative Oncology Center in Santa Barbara, California, has a proven track record of more than 30 years. They accepted Kerri as a patient for their program and this may be her last viable choice for a life-saving treatment. The program involves a very comprehensive series of treatments requiring her to stay in Santa Barbara for 3½ weeks. This program is costly and not covered by insurance. The past five years of treatments and procedures exhausted our personal funds, as insurance only covers so much of these costs.
Please help our family make this treatment option a reality for our beautiful Kerri. She lives life to the fullest every day and is a superwoman mother and wife even in her weakest moments. She believes in living a healthy lifestyle and maintains a positive attitude about this entire journey, inspiring all around her. We hope and pray that she will live to see her children grow and thrive.
When Kerri regains her health, God willing, we intend to appeal to the government to require medical insurance providers include alternative treatment coverage for individuals with cancers similar to Kerri's, which remain incurable using currently approved procedures.
