4040 for James Nichols

May 1981 marked the beginning of our adult lives. We graduated from the best place on earth, ready to conquer the world. The promise was ours to keep. Or so we thought. Many of us have been extremely successful. Careers and family to boot. What if illness and heartache toppled our dreams? What if we lost all but our dignity? To whom would we turn?
I am raising money on behalf of our fallen classmate, James A. Nichols. He has had a series of serious medical events affecting his heart and nervous system. He now lives in a group home on state assistence. His medical situation is precarious, and ultimately he could wind up homeless due to a loophole in the Maryland medical assistence program. Thus, I am asking each of us to give what we can to support him temporarily until his housing and medical situation is stabilized. The time is NOW. We are here for each other. Any and all money we have raised will be used to pay for his group home living expenses. He is with Tender loving care in Hyattsville , Md.
A small amount ( $35/ month )will be used to cover his AT&T cell phone bill.
