40 gigs for my 40th birthday
Donation protected
This year I turn 40. I couldn't decide how to celebrate until I thought about what was really important to me. Music. It's my everything. So I've decided to go to 40 gigs in a year!
Between my 38th and 39th birthdays I had 2 major surgeries and survived potentially life threatening sepsis so reaching my 40th birthday healthy and able to celebrate means the world.
I work part time in the NHS and am a single Mum so I will struggle to fund the cost of tickets, travel and accomodation on my own. I've some lovely friends who have brought be tickets to gigs already, but I can't realy on them to reach 40 gigs alone.
Any money pledged will be used to buy gig tickets, train or coach fares and very cheap BnB's if I need them (I'm not averse to sleeping on a Megabus though!) and would mean so much to me.
I will be writing reviews and taking photos of as many of these gigs as I can and I'll share those with pledgers.
In an often difficult and turbulent world, music has made my life worthwhile. There is no greater pleasure than experiencing music live, sharing that with the rest of audience and the musicians. This is why I am asking for your help and support.
Thank you
My blog has some more information and reviews of previous gigs and my gig photos are here if you want to find out more.
