4 dead, including pregnant mom and unborn baby
On Sunday morning, July 25th around 1:30AM my big brother (Lashad Lewis), sister-in-law to be (Brandy Gilkey), her unborn child, my nephew to be and their dog Goliath were hit head on by an intoxicated driver (MICHAEL JEROME MORRIS).
Before the accident occurred, Clayton County police found Michael Morris slumped over the wheel of his pickup truck and broke the window attempting to awake him. He then sped off down GA Highway 138 and after about a mile my brother’s car was hit head on. The intoxicated driver died at the scene. Brandy and her son were transported to a local hospital where they died from their injuries and Lashad remains in critical condition.
Lashad is currently suffering from severe whiplash, abdominal and bladder pain, has received multiple stitches, blood transfusions, and surgeries. He will never be the same physically and emotionally he will require lots of counseling . At this time, we are asking for your financial support, love and prayers as this time has been very difficult for us all. The expenses we are incurring include: hospital bills(surgical treatment for broken ribs, broken legs, blood transfusions, intestinal surgery), hospital parking, fuel, storage fees, living/housing expenses. We will be donating all of the purchased baby’s items to others in need.
Brandy was a kind, loving, caring person and an amazing teacher who loved her students. She was a firm believer of Christ and worked very hard. Her son was only 8 years old. He was the smartest kid I’ve ever known. He loved math, bubbles, race cars, cartoons, and playing games. We love and miss them very much and all the great memories we shared together. We will never forget about them. Any donation is fine please share the word and keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
