Help Keep Autistic Children Safe

Gongago  is teaming up with Armani Williams , NASCAR’s first openly Autistic Professional Driver, to bring about better life outcomes for patients and families impacted by Autism.  Your donation will help provide GPS trackers for children with Autism.  The devices provide an increased sense of security for families of children on the Spectrum and more importantly, children are safer.






Children with Autism are more likely to wander away, when compared to their peers. Recent survey data shows that 49 % of parents reported that a child with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) had attempted to wander or run away at least once after age 4. Over half of these wandering children (53 %) went missing long enough to cause worry. In addition, 65 % of these incidents involved a close call with traffic, while over a quarter (27%) involved a close call with drowning



The survey also confirmed that wandering creates great stress for families. Over half of parents (56 %) indicated it was their child’s most stressful behavior. Nearly half (43 %) reported that it interfered with their ability to sleep at night. Sixty-two percent reported that it prevented them from attending or enjoying activities away from home.
