This is so hard to do....ask for help.
Many of you probably don't know that Jeff has been sick. We spent the week of Thanksgiving in the hospital in Tyler, he was transferred there after spending 2 full days in St. Michael emergency room. We then spent 8 days in Parkland Hospital in Dallas right before Christmas. I took him there because he was not getting better. What we have found out is that Jeff has a lesion on his liver, and is in liver failure. He needs to be evaluated for a liver transplant by the Liver Clinic in Dallas.
Jeff is no longer able to work, so we had to purchase our insurance from "the exchange" (Obama Care). As it turns out, we have found out that this insurance is not accepted by any facility or dr he needs to see. We have accumulated over 60k in medical bills because of this so far, and we don't have all of them yet. He is in need of continuous medical care. There is not a dr here (we have tried) that can do what he needs so there will be numerous trips to Dallas to continue his care.
Anyone that knows us, knows that we do not live and extravagate lifestyle. I drive a 2002 Suburban that has a slipping transmission and almost 300k miles on it, his truck is a 2004...it has almost 200k miles. Our house is nothing fancy, in fact, it is in need of a new roof and lots of other things that we just can't afford to do right now.
Jeff has always been the first one to jump and help anyone and everyone (and animals), now he is in need of help. We are proud, and this is hard to do, but we would be grateful and humbled by your donation. Thank you, and God Bless you and your family. I pray no one has to go through anything like this.
