Help Chris Cherryhomes Battle ITP

June 7th, 2017, my 30 year old brother, Chris Cherryhomes, woke up covered in abnormal red spots and bruises, along with a bloody nose and gums. He was rushed straight to the hospital where they performed several blood tests. A normal platelet count in an adult is between 300,000-450,000 and his was at only 3000. Platelets are the part of your blood that allow you to clot and not bleed to death. At this point his bleeding risk was so high, that even a minor cut or scrape could cause him to bleed out. He was seen by several cancer specialists because they originally assumed it had to be leukemia. When those tests came back negative he was rushed to ICU due to his bleeding risk. They diagnosed him with ITP ( http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/idiopathic-thrombocytopenic-purpura/home/ovc-20201208 ) and immediately started treatment with platelet transfusions and IVIG ( http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/210367-overview ). Each treatment cost ranged between 4,000 and 5,000. He was receiving several a day until his platelet count rose to 350,000 and they sent him home with steroids. He is currently uninsured as an independent contractor, so everything will have to be paid out of pocket. His bill far exceeds the asking amount, but this is the amount he is hoping to receive to help put a dent in it.Today, June 19th, he was having similar symptoms and was rushed back to ICU. His platelet count was at 4,000 and is currently dropping by the hour. They have begun the same treatment with the IVIG and platelets, and are hoping in a few days to send him home with a higher dosage of steroids, and then retest. Please help anyway you can to get him through the financial part of this. Anything well help and will be appreciated.
