Duhok Children Cancer Fund

Hello and greetings. My name is Zaid Brifkani and I am a Kurdish physician practicing in the Nashville are and originally from Kurdistan, Iraq. On behalf of an official committee from Duhok, Kurdistan, I am reaching out for your help to support a special fund dedicated to treat children with cancer in the Duhok area of Kurdistan. The city of Duhok is part of the Kurdistan Regional Government and has enjoyed peace and security with alliance help under the leadership of the United States. As a result of the instability from war in Iraq, more than 1 million refugees have been accepted in Duhok over the last two years. Currently, there are more than 200 documented cases of cancer in the pediatric population in the local Hivi Hospital in Duhok. In a land torn by war, medications are limited and treatment is absolutely necessary for these children who have nowhere else to turn. A committee was formed by the local physicians in Duhok and under direct supervision of the Mayor of Duhok and through that committee a fund was created. All donations will go directly through that fund to be solely used for providing chemotherapy for these children. All transactions will be transparent and with full appropriate official paperwork and verification. Please help us bring a spark of hope to the lives of these children, many of whom have already lost their homes and loved ones due to war. Thank you for your support.
