Dr. Fido Tadesse Ebba's Medical Expenses

Dr. Fido Tadesse Ebba was born and grown up in Guduruu village, Qote Genasii, Najoo, Western Wallaga, Oromia. Attended elementary school from grade one to eighth grade at Swedish Evangelical Mission School in Najjoo. He pursued his high school education at Jimma Agricultural School, then college education at Haroo Maya Agricultural College graduating with a distinguished BSC degree in 1965. By continuing his post-graduate education, he earned MSC degree from Wisconsin State University, USA, and Ph.D. degree in Genetics from British Columbia University, Canada in1974. Returning to Ethiopia he taught at Haroo Maya College and worked at Ethiopian Research Institute till 1978. He established the Ethiopian Gene Bank under the Research Institute. He was arrested for some months in 1978 allegedly for being an OLF member. Dr. Fido was self-exiled in1979 leaving behind his wife two infants and a high paying professional job as a scientist. He joined Oromo Liberation Front leadership in Sudan in 1979 continuously struggling at leadership level for more than 40 years at high level of determination for his people’s cause.

About 3 months ago he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme. Since then numerous friends and acquaintances have wished to lend financial support. We thought the best way to facilitate this would be to set up this account so the funds could go to him directly.
