Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for your love, support and prayers for my family and our calling to in Corvallis Foursquare Church. We moved here in July and are blessed to work with some of our best friends, Emily and Kevin Hughes. Katie is the Worship pastor and I function as the Executive pastor, which basically means I take care of the business and operational matters, in addition to mentoring the staff and volunteer leaders. I also preach when Kevin, our senior leader, is away. What God is doing here is incredible! Since our arrival, we have seen a significant increase in new families and guests who choose to stay, with most being either new to the area or are first timers in any church. Recently, two homeless guys came off the streets, one recommitted his life to Jesus and started bringing his whole family and the other accepted Christ as his Savior for the first time and has since found work, a place to live, restored relationship with his daughter and a son he hasn't seen in 4 years. He comes in eagerly every week to tell us what God has done in his life!! God is moving and is doing great things in Corvallis.
This is where you come in. I'm inviting you to partner with me to reach the city of and the campus of Oregon State University. I'm specifically asking that you commit to praying with the team and me for the city, the OSU campus and Corvallis Foursquare Church. We are critically aware that we are in need of prayer covering as we embark on this new assignment.
Secondly, I'm inviting you to partner with us financially by supporting Katie and I for the next 12 months as we go full time at the church. There were 28 people regularly attending when we started. We are now close to 70 and we continue to grow so rapidly that we are struggling to maintain the building and care for those who come and that is with the college students on summer break! By September 1^st, 2014; I believe that the church will be able to fully support us. I would like to invite you to stand in the gap and either give a tax-deductible (tax deduction if you mail a check to the address below) lump sum or to give each month as you are able.
