Jill’s Journey

Jill (Smith) Lynch is a loving, hard-working and kind person. She is someone who would do anything to help her family, friends, and neighbors. If you know Jill, you know she is always smiling, listening to and learning from others. She is a devoted mother, wife, and teacher who is the epitome of humility and bravery. Everyone who is a part of Jill’s life would agree that she is a special person who radiates joy and positivity.

In July 2021, some lingering symptoms prompted Jill to seek out medical treatment. It was during one of these tests that doctors incidentally discovered masses that, after a biopsy, led to a diagnosis of Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She has had consultations with Reading Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering along with numerous tests & procedures. Jill is currently undergoing 5 months of Chemotherapy and unfortunately she had to take a leave of absence from her teaching position.

While health and safety has been on our minds on a daily basis due to COVID-19, the Lynch family must now focus on Jill’s health and treatment as it is at the forefront of their everyday lives. Jill and her family are optimistic that the prescribed treatment plan will give her the best chance to beat Cancer!

With Jill unable to work, she is at home focusing on her treatment, keeping her body strong and enjoying time with her husband Adam and children Benjamin (12) and Addison (10). During treatment, Adam will be the main source of income. As we all know, medical treatment can be extremely costly and insurance does not cover everything.
