Hello friends!
As many of you know, on the 16th of Decemeber our prayers were answered, and my dear brother received a new kidney and pancreas. Because of this, he no longer has to take insulin injections or connect to his home dialysis machine for 9 hours every night! As exciting as all of this is, he still has some permanent effects of diabetes on his body. For example, he has peripheral neuropathy which causes severe pain in his lower extremities. We are currently hoping to raise the money to purchase a chair that applies heat and massage specifically to the areas where his pain is at its worst. Not only will this help alleviate his pain, but it will allow him to get more than a few hours of sleep at one time. We already received a discounted price on the chair thanks to our brother Phil, and are now asking our friends and family to help us raise the remaining $2,550. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have already felt from everyone!
