Please Help Me and My Dad

Several years ago, my father underwent heart surgery, and insurance didn't cover the entire cost. My dad has since become disabled and unable to work. I am trying to pay all of his bills, as well as my own. We need $7,500 by the end of September.

Unknown to us, when my mom was dealing with dad's heart problems, in order to pay all of the medical and other bills, she deferred several mortgage payments, and did not tell us.

We just got a call on Monday from the mortgage company. The good news is that the loan has matured. The bad news is that those deferred payments are now due as a balloon payment at the end of September.

Mom passed away 2 years ago, and dad is waiting for disability payments to be approved, but it could be months. I'm living with my dad, and with his health health and disabilities, we simply cannot afford to go homeless, especially with a house so close to being paid off.
