<div>We at Obsidian Entertainment are saddened by the loss of one of our own, Terry Hess. This fundraiser is for the amazing family he left behind. We wanted a way to offer not only the employees of Obsidian to help someone they held so dear, but for our community who has been touched by Terry's work to be able to help as well if they so choose.

<div>Terry started with Obsidian in April of 2013 working on Armored Warfare and quickly established himself as our most highly experienced, technical environment artists at the studio. After Armored Warfare, Terry joined The Outer Worlds 1 team and pushed on the team to level up what we can do with our environments. He was one of the main contributors to the very early demo that we put together for one of our first major deliveries to Private Division. It was in this delivery that we honed in on the look of The Outer Worlds and is still a meeting that gets talked about with our colleagues at Private Division to this day.

<div>Since the start of The Outer Worlds 2, Terry had been taking his role as the Lead Environment Artist incredibly seriously and pushed on what he felt we could, and should, be doing with the worlds we create from a visual standpoint. As we continue development of the sequel, we will strive to make sure that vision is achieved.

<div>As someone who anyone from any department could talk to, Terry was warm, welcoming, and a fantastic mentor. His loss will be felt for a long time and will be impossible to replace. He will be missed greatly.
