Beethoven's Life Saving Surgery

Beethoven was originally rescued in Georgia after spending the first few months of his life tethered to a fence. Eventually he made his way to the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem,MA, where I volunteer. He was 10 months old last Labor Day when he joined my family which includes his fur-sister Stella. He must have found something in the yard that looked yummy. But it wasn't good for his belly. Whatever rubber piece it was, it has ruptured through his intestine & he is currently undergoing surgery at the vet. They are taking out the damaged part of the intestine & putting it back together. They also need to remove the bacteria now in his system. He might not make it through surgery. It kills me to even think that & I cannot stop crying right now. I was signing paperwork for his surgery when they started getting him ready. I never even had a chance to say goodbye! The vet said if he comes through surgery, its best for him to be transferred to an ICU for IV antibiotics and to be watched around the clock. He said that Beethoven has a rough road. When I went through my own cancer surgeries & treatment, when I wasn't sure how I'd pay my bills or rent, I never considered doing a GoFundMe page for myself. But this isn't for me. This is for Beethoven. I can't just give up on him because it's too expensive for me. So I need help. Beethoven needs help! Please. Please help me save my crazy puppy survive this. Please. (If for whatever reason, his surgery & treatment are less than what is raised, all remaining money will be donated to the rescue groups who saved Beethoven.)
