Educating Ebony

Hello friends
Thank you for joining us in the Educating Ebony fundraiser. Ebony is 11 years old and has lived in Phuket (Thailand) with her mother Julie for the last 5 years. She is an intelligent girl with endless potential. Her mother has been her tutor and home-schooled Ebony for the last 2 years. The time has come for Ebony to return to mainstream education. Julie is unable to afford the education her child is so hungry for.
At such a young age Ebony is already very passionate about studying and hopes to one day become a Zoologist or a Veterinarian. She has a deep love and devotion for all animals and she has the potential to see her goal become a reality, if she is provided with the adequate education.
Recently Ebony studied and worked very hard to win a scholarship in a local International School. She sat the examination and won 75% scholarship but will still need 150,000 THB (3,200 GBP) for enrollment and tuition fees.
We decided to set up this fund page "Educating Ebony". We are
reaching out to all in our global community for contributions to raise the funds for this fantastic cause.
Many of you may know Ebony personally and therefore there is no need to expand, but for those who don't know Ebony we have provided pictures of her on Facebook.

So far through the generosity of friends and friends friends, we have raised enough for the uniform fees and enrollment fees. Ebony started her first class on Monday. The school has been very understanding and extended the original pay by date to give us time to raise the money tuition for this year.
All donations, large or small are greatly appreciated. Every drop counts. Remember most people respond to large scale disasters and fundraising events and often forget or do not realize that there are people, they know, that need a helping hand too. Giving a small amount communally can create big change in a persons life
