Julie Needs Your Help

Hi. I've been in a very serious, long battle with invasive, aggressive squamous cell carcinoma since 2012. Now, I'm in serious need of support. A friend started a GoFundMe campaign sev. yrs. ago and it raised some and it really helped with all of the out of pocket med. costs that ins. doesn't cover. Those monies were used and the site remained dormant for past few yrs.

(The amt. shown on the post now were mostly raised sev. yrs. ago and used as above).

So, now I'm writting a current GoFundMe as I'm in need again.

Since, 2012 , I've had 9 major facial surgeries to remove the invasive cancer, as it was heading toward my brain and would have been fatal; 3 
recurrences; and 6 1/2 wks. of daily high dose radiation treatments.

I have lost 1/2 of my nose and entire sinus cavity on the right is exposed leaving exposed bone and raw nerves.  I am in constant high nerve pain/right side of mouth paralyzed and debilitating state of fatigue due to the surgeries and the radiation.

Last year the signs of radiation damage started to appear.  I had to have a root canal for a dead tooth; which fell out during a Dec. 2017 surg. to remove a necrotic(dead) part of my maxilla(upper jaw bone)-due to the radiation damage.

The original plan was to undergo 10-12 major reconstruction surgeries.  However, I did not make it, as the radiation damage started to appear 
last yr.

This past Jan. 2018; the surg. site broke open from the Dec. 2017 surgery and I've had a non-healing/painful open wound there since(non-healing due to the necrosis of bone underneath)

Last wk. I had to have another root canal, as another tooth has died. With the necrotic bone underneath; there is not good blood supply and the teeth start to die off.

The maxilla(upper jaw bone) continues to progressively become necrotic and spread.

I am in need of Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments(about 40 daily for 2 hrs/day) to try to halt to progression of dying bone.

Without these treatments and the dental work; I am in great danger of losing my entire upper jaw and teeth.

Both dental and hyperbaric oxygen treatments have high out of pocket costs that I cannot afford.

The cancer and treatments have taken part of my face; my confidence and my ability to enjoy a normal life.

It's been very difficult and embarrassing to have to ask for help and this fundraiser required some thought.

I believe in the goodness of mankind and believe there are so many good, loving, kind and generous people out there. I have been blessed to have some in my life.

If anyone can help me get through this 6 1/2 yr. nightmare by praying; donating(no matter how small); and 'sharing' on fb or with friends; I WOULD BE FOREVER GRATEFUL.
