Tommy's fight against leukemia

My nephew Tommy, who is ten was diagnosed with leukemia a month ago. In addition to this, Tommy was born with downs syndrome. He also had an older brother who did not win the fight against leukemia and passed away four years ago.

He was hospitalized for a month and received a number of chemotherapy treatments along with steroids and other medical treatments. He went home for a week and was readmitted to the hospital on Wednesday. On Thursday, he had a g tube put in to assist with giving him his medicines at home. While in the hospital this time, he is receiving multiple chemotherapy treatments daily. His parents have been told that treatment could take two years.

Being a child with special needs, his mother has had to take a leave of absence from her job and is not sure if she will ever be able to go back to work. She spent every day and night with him while he was hospitalized and will continue to do so for each hospital stay.

In addition to the medical expenses, the cost of travel to and from the hospital, parking expenses at the hospital etc are more than this family can handle.

I sincerely ask for your help in meeting this family's financial obligations in the coming months ..May God bless each and every one of you who donate to this worthy cause. In addition to this, I would appreciate prayers for this family.
